Julien Dubuque Bridge

Dubuque, IA — This is a sketch of the Julien Dubuque Bridge in Dubuque, IA.  It was drawn on April 19, 2005.

The bridge is part of Highway 20, linking the states of Iowa and Wisconsin.  It was built in 1943.

The sketch was drawn from the Iowa side of the river, near the National Mississippi River Museum.  When the kids were younger, this place was a favorite.  It has great exhibits of life along the Great River, including native fish, otters, ducks, turtles, alligators, and other animals.
